Dr. Pratiksha Amin

I am a proud Texan and Houstonian. I earned my undergraduate degrees in psychology and dental laboratory sciences and my master’s degree in public health at Texas A&M University and The University of Texas campuses in San Antonio and Houston. Almost a decade after that, I found my passion for dentistry and enrolled at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. Although I had no intention of pursuing specialty training, I ended up falling in love with field of periodontics. Upon earning my DMD degree, I enrolled in and completed my three-year residency in periodontics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. A true Texan at heart, I moved back home to Houston and am eager to dedicate my professional skills to serving patients where I grew up.

I am dedicated to learning and have enrolled in many continuing education courses. I regularly take courses that are organized by some of the most elite post-doctoral programs in the country, such as the Kois Center, the Pankey Institute, the Spear Institute, and the Breathe Institute. I completed a three-year-long program at the prestigious Interdisciplinary Dental Education Academy in San Francisco, CA to expand and deepen my knowledge of TMJ, occlusion, and orthodontics. And I also completed a year-long program at the Alleman Center to learn more about Biomimetic Dentistry. Due to the advanced training and knowledge I have gained, I no longer limit my practice to periodontics. My practice offers conservative, proactive, and comprehensive dental care.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, and swimming. My husband and I are longtime residents of Stafford and we enjoy traveling, and volunteering at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Hindu Mandir in Stafford.

I’m a dedicated and detail-oriented dental hygienist. When I’m not working, I love spending time outdoors with my husband. With a strong background in patient care and oral health education, I strive to create a comfortable and positive experience for each patient. My focus is on preventative care, promoting healthy habits, and ensuring that every visit contributes to improved overall dental health. I look forward to helping you achieve your best smile!

I'm usually in the treatment room with you. I love helping my patients feel comfortable. I make sure that Dr. Amin can do her job as quickly and efficiently as possible. I enjoy learning about new technology and techniques that can help me better assist my patients. When I'm not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our daughter. I love to have family movie nights!

I'm the only one with a beard!

I'll be handling all of the practice finance and operations, as well as technology implementation. I also meet each patient face-to-face at check-out! If you have financial or insurance questions, I'll be your point of contact. Dr. Amin and I have a vision to make conservative and comprehensive dental care accessible for our patients. We will work with you and help leverage your insurance coverage to cover as much of your dental work as possible.
